About Pierrette
Art has long been a big part of my life. I have always been aware of colour and design in my environment and I have been making art for as long as I can remember. Then, after taking a significant online art course, I realized that I am indeed an artist. I work in my home studio most days, show my work in juried art exhibitions, and I am part of a vibrant art collective.
Artist Statement
Vibrant colours, expressive marks, collage, paint and a limited palette inform my art practice. I work in an abstract intuitive style because that is how I am able to respond to my physical and emotional environment.
I live on the west coast of Canada where I cycle or hike along the ocean or in the forests most days.
While walking or cycling I hatch plans for a new series or I think about how to fine tune a current series.
I truly believe that art exists in every aspect of life.m
